Sana'a: The National Meteorological Center and Early Warning has forecasted varying and scattered thundery rainfall in parts of several governorates during the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center predicts varying-intensity thundery rainfall, accompanied by downdraft winds and sometimes hail, in parts of the governorates of Al-Bayda, Al-Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, and Al-Mahwit, as well as the highlands of Lahj, and parts of the Tihama Plain.
Meanwhile, scattered rainfall accompanied by thunder is expected over parts of the governorates of Sana'a, Amran, Hajjah, and Saada, as well as the highlands of Abyan and Marib, and the plateaus and deserts of Shabwah, Hadramout, and Al-Mahrah.
The center has issued warnings to citizens and vehicle drivers in areas predicted to receive rainfall, advising them against being in valley beds and flood channels, and cautioning against thunderstorms. It has advised the public to follow safety measures to avoid potential hazards.
Additionally, the center has warned of soil erosion and rockslides, downdraft winds and hail, and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and mountainous highlands due to dense clouds, rainfall, and fog formation, advising individuals to stay away from unstable slopes.
The center has urged relevant authorities to take precautionary measures to safeguard lives and property.
