Sana'a: A five-day training course on document preservation and archiving concluded in the capital Sana'a with the participation of 50 employees from the Ministry of Oil and Minerals.
According to Yemen News Agency, the course was organized by the Ministry of Oil in collaboration with the National Documentation Center. It aimed to equip participants with knowledge and skills on preserving, archiving, and managing documents and information in line with best practices.
Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals Mohammed Al-Najjar commended the organizers' efforts, emphasizing the importance of developing ministry employees' capabilities in document management and preservation. He noted that these skills are essential for institutional work and maintaining the ministry's administrative records.
Al-Najjar highlighted the significance of applying the knowledge and skills acquired from the course in the workplace to improve administrative performance and enhance efficiency in document management and archiving.
The closing ceremony, attended by Assistant Deputy Minister for Mineral Affairs Dr. Yahya Al-Ajam, featured remarks from Deputy Director of the National Documentation Center Dr. Fuad Al-Shami. He stated that the course was part of the center's ongoing efforts to advance documentation and archiving processes.
Dr. Al-Shami pointed out that the training aimed to enhance participants' skills in preserving and archiving ministry documents, particularly those documenting a critical period in Yemen's modern history. The course provided specialized knowledge on methods of preserving, classifying, and archiving documents, ensuring their protection and facilitating easy access and use.
