Sana'a: Tribal mediation, overseen by Sana'a Governor Abdul Basit Al-Hadi and led by MP Ahmed Abu Huraira and Sana'a Deputy Governor Abdullah Al-Abyad, has succeeded in containing a murder dispute between the Al-Awabli and Al-Hamati families of the Safiya Tamesh tribes in Sanhan District.
According to Yemen News Agency, during today's tribal reconciliation, the mediation committee, accompanied by Sana'a Security Director Brig. Gen. Mujahid Ayed, Sanhan and Bani Bahlool Security Director Col. Mohammed Qanef, and several tribal sheikhs and dignitaries, submitted the case to the victim's family, the relatives of Jawas Hamed Al-Hamati, for tribal arbitration by the alleged perpetrator, Mohammed Essam Al-Awabli, in accordance with tribal customs and traditions.
The victim's family accepted the arbitration rifles, allowing the victim to be buried as a step toward reconciliation and resolving the dispute.
MP Abu Huraira and Deputy Governor Al-Abyad stressed the importance of joint efforts by tribal sheikhs and social figures to resolve community disputes and promote reconciliation. They praised the Al-Hamati family for accepting arbitration and called for strengthening social cohesion and unity.
The attendees also commended the Al-Hamati family's commitment to reconciliation and tolerance, affirming continued efforts to resolve disputes through tribal traditions and strengthen unity in confronting threats targeting Yemen.
They called on all parties to close ranks and unite their positions in response to the call by Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi to resolve conflicts and revenge-related disputes and promote reconciliation.
