Sa'ada: Tribes in al-Safra district of Sa'ada governorate held on Wednesday an armed tribal gathering, declaring general mobilization and heightened readiness in response to a call by Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi to end what they described as the aggression and blockade.
According to Yemen News Agency, the gathering was attended by local officials, mobilization leaders, tribal sheikhs, dignitaries, social figures, and residents of Al-Safra District. Participants expressed their readiness to support efforts aimed at what they described as liberating Yemen from foreign forces and their local allies.
Speakers at the event said Yemen's natural resources and national sovereignty should no longer remain under the control of what they described as the Saudi-led coalition and its allies.
A statement issued following the gathering endorsed the message delivered by Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi on the occasion of the Islamic New Year (1448 AH), reaffirming opposition to the United States and Israel and calling for greater coordination among what it referred to as the "Axis of Resistance" under the principle of the "Unity of Fronts."
The statement also congratulated the Islamic Republic of Iran, its leadership and people, on what it described as a victory over the United States and Israel, while stressing continued preparedness for any regional escalation affecting the area or any front associated with the Axis of Resistance.
It further declared a high level of official and public readiness to end the conflict, occupation, and blockade, stating that this would enable Yemenis to achieve full independence, benefit from the country's natural resources, and live in freedom and dignity.
The statement announced a general mobilization and comprehensive public preparedness across various sectors, including the opening of training centers for military mobilization courses and the organization of demonstrations, rallies, and military exercises.
It also renewed what it described as full authorization for Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi to determine the appropriate course of action in response to current developments, while calling on Yemenis across the country to unite in efforts aimed at ending foreign military presence, restoring control over national resources, and achieving independence.
The statement concluded by reaffirming commitment to the sacrifices of those killed, wounded, or captured during the conflict and pledged to continue mobilization until what it described as the aggression and blockade are brought to an end.
