Hajjah: Hajjah University organized on Wednesday two protest rallies in Hajjah province condemning repeated insults to the Quran and expressing solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon. Participants, including university leadership and faculty members, raised copies of the Quran and chanted slogans denouncing repeated offenses against Islamic sanctities.
According to Yemen News Agency, speakers at the rallies described the incidents as part of a broader hostile campaign against Islam, emphasizing the need for stronger unity and resistance among Muslim communities. The university's vice president highlighted that the protests reflected a religious responsibility and a clear rejection of systematic attacks on Islamic values.
A statement issued during the rallies called on Arab and Islamic societies to break their silence, return to the Quran as a guiding framework, and actively resist actions perceived as targeting their religious identity and holy sites.
