US-Saudi-Emirati Airstrikes Cause Casualties and Damage Across Yemen on September 21

Sana'a: On September 21, multiple airstrikes attributed to US-Saudi-Emirati aggression resulted in the martyrdom and injury of numerous citizens, including children and women, in various governorates across Yemen. The attacks, which took place over several years, have caused significant civilian casualties and extensive damage to infrastructure and properties.

According to Yemen News Agency, on September 21, 2015, airstrikes in the Al-Hasbah neighborhood, Al-Thawrah district in the Capital Secretariat, resulted in the martyrdom of 25 citizens and injured dozens more. These strikes led to the collapse of homes and damage to government buildings. Other areas, such as the Sawwan neighborhood and Al-Thawrah Sports City, also suffered from airstrikes, causing injuries and damage to public and private properties.

In Hajjah governorate, two airstrikes targeted the Road Security in the Dhahr Abu Teer area, resulting in 22 martyrs and 16 injuries. Additionally, airstrikes on the Tihama Cement Factory caused damage to infrastructure and transport vehicles. In Saada governorate, airstrikes in the Ghafrah area martyred an entire family, while other strikes across various districts caused further destruction.

Airstrikes on markets and roads in several districts, including Dhamar, Al-Bayda, and Sana'a governorates, caused additional casualties and damage. In Taiz city, multiple airstrikes targeted Al-Barh area and Al-Zanqal neighborhood, while strikes in Marib city and surrounding areas resulted in further loss of life and destruction.

On subsequent anniversaries of September 21, airstrikes continued to cause casualties and damage. In 2016, airstrikes in Qatabir and other districts in Saada governorate, along with attacks in Shabwa and Al-Jawf governorates, resulted in significant property damage. In 2017, airstrikes targeted Al-Luhayyah district in Al-Hodeida governorate.

By 2018, strikes continued to impact regions such as Saada governorate, where missile strikes martyred three women, and airstrikes caused damage in Majz district. The following year saw strikes on telecommunications infrastructure in Amran governorate and further attacks in Hajjah and Saada governorates.

In 2020, airstrikes and shelling from mercenaries affected multiple districts across the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Marib, and Al-Hodeida, causing both human and material loss. The following year saw continued aggression in Marib and Al-Bayda governorates, resulting in further casualties and damage.

The aggression persisted into 2022 and 2023, with airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting multiple areas, including Al-Hodeida, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhale'a governorates, and border fronts, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region.
