Sana'a: Saudi-Emirati aggression led to numerous casualties among Yemeni civilians, with fatalities including women and children.
According to Yemen News Agency, on August 17, 2015, four individuals were killed and 19 others, predominantly women, were injured when aggression aircraft targeted a residence in Jiblah City, Ibb Governorate. The airstrikes destroyed the house and caused damage to neighboring homes. Another airstrike targeted a residence in the Al-Rahman Mosque area of Al-Dhihar District, resulting in its destruction and moderate damage to nearby homes. Additionally, two individuals were killed when aggression aircraft attacked a transport truck and an oil-change shop in the Naqil Yaslah area of Bilad Al-Rus District, Sana'a Governorate. The strikes also targeted a truck carrying construction materials.
The aggression aircraft launched over 100 raids on areas including Al-Ishraf, Al-Jafina, Al-Faw, and Al-Balaq west of Ma'rib City, and the Athban Factory south of the city. An airstrike destroyed the Halhalan Bridge in the Al-Jadaan area, disrupting travel between Sana'a and Ma'rib Governorates. In Hodeida Governorate, the Old Youth House and the Gymnastics Hall were completely destroyed. In Saada Governorate, the aircraft conducted multiple raids, causing damage to homes and farms.
On August 17, 2016, an airstrike in Hawari area, Hawth District, Amran Governorate, killed one citizen and injured another. In Taiz Governorate, airstrikes resulted in the deaths of three women on a bridge in the Muqi'a area of Al-Salw District. Two women were killed in Majz District, Saada Governorate, while a fuel station in Saada City was also targeted, killing five and injuring eight.
The aggression continued with numerous raids across various districts, causing extensive damage to public and private property. The following years saw similar acts of aggression on August 17, with airstrikes and shelling causing civilian casualties and destruction in multiple governorates. On August 17, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft conducted raids on Maqbanah District in Taiz Governorate, Hays District, and the Al-Jabaliya area in Al-Tuhayta District in Hodeida Governorate, while mercenaries established combat fortifications and shelled various areas.
