Sana'a: On June 15, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition launched numerous airstrikes across various Yemeni governorates, leading to significant casualties and widespread destruction of both public and private properties.
According to Yemen News Agency, the airstrikes on June 15, 2015, resulted in the deaths of five citizens and injuries to dozens in the Rabia area of Razih District, Saada Governorate. The strikes targeted this area with internationally prohibited weapons. Additionally, two individuals were killed in the Dhuwaib area of Haydan District when their vehicle was bombed.
In Saada Governorate, multiple airstrikes were conducted in areas including Baqim, Majz, Sahar, Saqain, and the capital Sana'a. In the Faj Attan area of Sana'a, six citizens were injured, and several homes were destroyed due to these attacks. A farm in Bayt Al-Faqih District, Hodeida Governorate, was also targeted, injuring seven citizens and resulting in the loss of livestock.
The aggression further extended to Shabwah, Al-Jawf, Taiz, and Marib governorates, with several airstrikes impacting city infrastructures and residential areas. In the following years, similar patterns of aggression continued, with airstrikes and artillery shelling causing substantial damage to properties and loss of lives in various districts across the country.
On June 15, 2020, a particularly devastating attack in Shada District, Saada Governorate, resulted in the death of 13 citizens, including children, when two airstrikes targeted a vehicle. The subsequent years saw continued aggression with airstrikes in Marib, Al-Jawf, Jizan, and other governorates, inflicting heavy casualties and destruction.
In 2022 and 2023, the coalition's actions included the establishment of combat fortifications, artillery shelling, and airstrikes in Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, and Hodeida governorates. These strikes have continued to exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, affecting civilians and their properties extensively.
