Sana'a: The Women's Committee in Mahweet: The Women's Committee in Mahweet governorate commemorated the annual Martyrs' Anniversary in the areas of al-Ahjur and al-Tawilah with a public event held in honor of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Allah and in defense of the homeland.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event included speeches and choral performances that highlighted the stance of the martyrs who confronted global arrogance, hegemony, and their local agents. Speakers emphasized the importance of following in the footsteps of the martyrs and drawing inspiration from their lives. The commemoration was considered an occasion to express loyalty and pride in the sacrifices of those heroes who safeguarded dignity and raised the banner of truth against tyranny.
The speakers also stressed the need to strengthen awareness and steadfastness in facing the 'soft war' and attempts to undermine Yemeni women's identity and their role in various fields. The Women's Committee affirmed that the women of al-Ahjur and al-Tawilah will continue to support the battlefronts with money and men, following the example of the mothers and families of the martyrs in patience, resilience, and generosity. This support is seen as a reflection of the values of steadfastness and sacrifice.
