Hodeidah: The Women's Authority in Hodeidah city organized a protest rally today denouncing the repeated offenses against the Holy Quran and Islamic sanctities, and renewing Yemen's steadfast position in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Palestine, and Lebanon.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the rally, held in the courtyard of Ammar bin Yasir School, raised the Holy Quran and banners expressing anger at the crime and transgression committed by the American Senate candidate, the Zionist criminal "Jake Lang," who burned a copy of the Holy Quran in Michigan, USA. They denounced the international silence towards these provocative crimes.
They chanted slogans of freedom, pride, and steadfastness, considering the assault on the holiest sanctities of the Islamic nation as a crime and a violation of religious and human values, embodying the state of extremism and hatred fueled by forces hostile to Islam.
The speeches at the rally affirmed the importance of continued popular and official mobilization against campaigns targeting Islamic sanctities and enhancing community awareness of the cultural and intellectual war targeting the nation, its values, and its constants.
A statement issued by the rally highlighted the steadfast and principled position of the Yemeni people in support of the Palestinian cause and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. It emphasized the defense of holy sites as a religious and moral duty to deter and stand firmly against Zionist arrogance.
It affirmed the continuation of the Women's Authority in Hodeidah in holding cultural and awareness activities and events, and continuing to supply the fronts with caravans of giving, and consolidating the values of steadfastness and sacrifice in the face of the forces of tyranny and arrogance until complete victory is achieved and all holy sites are purified.
