Sana'a: A training workshop on the Code of Conduct and Work Ethics, organized on Tuesday by the General Directorate of Training and Qualification at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, was concluded. The two-day workshop aimed to equip 40 employees of the Ministry with practical knowledge and applied skills related to the Code of Conduct, enhance their awareness of the responsibilities of public service, and contribute to building a work environment based on institutional commitment and respect for laws and regulations.
According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop also aimed to instill the principles of integrity, transparency, and professional discipline, thereby contributing to raising the level of administrative and institutional performance and improving the quality of services provided to citizens. The workshop covered the practical framework of work ethics, the rights and duties of public employees, legal and professional responsibilities, mechanisms for compliance with applicable legislation and regulations, behavioral and professional violations and their impact on the work environment, and methods for preventing and addressing them.
In closing, Deputy Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Judge Ibrahim Al-Shami, explained that the workshop was part of a comprehensive institutional process aimed at implementing the Code of Conduct in practice, moving it from theory to practice across all ministry units. This will enhance institutional performance and instill values of discipline and professional responsibility among employees.
He emphasized the ministry's commitment to building an administrative environment based on integrity, transparency, and adherence to ethics, laws, and regulations. He noted that this is fundamental to achieving justice, protecting rights, and serving citizens professionally and responsibly, adding that improving administrative performance begins with building professional and ethical awareness among employees at all levels.
Judge Al-Shami emphasized that the Quranic methodology represents a fundamental pillar in establishing faith-based and ethical values in administrative and judicial work, given its principles of justice, fairness, and accountability. It also promotes self-regulation and a deep sense of the immense responsibility entrusted to public employees, which positively impacts performance and the handling of citizens' cases and rights.
He further noted the importance of continuing training and awareness programs and linking them to the job performance evaluation process to foster a culture of commitment and discipline, and to build an effective administrative apparatus that operates with a spirit of national and faith-based responsibility, performing its duties with sincerity and integrity.
