Yemen Foreign Ministry Warns of Severe Consequences for Saudi Aggression

Sanaa:Yemen The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has issued a strong warning to the Saudi regime, stating that if their aggression does not cease, the repercussions will be severe.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry emphasized the principle of reciprocity in the military response to Saudi actions. It highlighted the heavy toll of casualties and destruction inflicted on Yemen since the targeting of Sanaa Airport earlier this year, compelling the Yemeni Armed Forces to respond.

The statement criticized Saudi Arabia's ongoing blockade and repeated attacks on Sanaa International Airport over the past 12 years, including ignoring UN demands to cease such actions. The Ministry argued that lifting the blockade and ending hostilities would be more beneficial for Saudi Arabia than continuing its current course, which could lead to strategic repercussions.

Airlines heading to Saudi airports were advised to coordinate with the Yemeni Humanitarian Operations Center to avoid moral and legal liabilities. The statement also condemned the Qatari regime for its political and media activities, describing them as complicit in the suffering of the Yemeni people. It urged Qatar to rethink its alignment with Saudi Arabia, noting Qatar's diminished role as a mediator in regional conflicts.

The Ministry criticized the United Nations and its envoy to Yemen for their roles, which it claims legitimize Saudi actions. It warned that unless Saudi Arabia halts its interference in Yemen, the situation will escalate, with severe consequences ahead.

Concluding its statement, the Ministry highlighted Saudi Arabia's actions in the Bab al-Mandab Strait as an indication of its aggressive intentions, calling for international attention to Yemen's sovereignty.
