Hodeida: The Yemeni Council for Medical and Health Specializations inaugurated the new 2025-2026 training year at its Hodeida branch. During the inauguration ceremony, the Council's Secretary-General, Dr. Athmar Hussein, described the launch as a significant step in advancing specialized medical education. She highlighted the branch's distinguished presence across academic programs, reflecting its achievements over the years.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Hussein noted that the branch has expanded its programs in the Yemeni fellowship, professional master's, and doctoral studies, making it a comprehensive educational environment capable of accommodating diverse medical specialties. She emphasized that these successes were made possible due to the Council's continuous support and the dedicated efforts of the academic and administrative staff at the Al-Hodeidah branch.
She further stressed that the Council aims to invest in national medical personnel and develop them according to modern scientific standards, thereby contributing to improving the quality of health services for the Yemeni community. Dr. Hussein confirmed that the Council's Secretariat will continue supporting all branches to enhance training quality and further develop medical specialties to meet growing needs.
Dr. Khaled Suhail, Head of the Hodeida branch, described the inauguration as the fruit of continuous work and achievement since the branch's establishment in 2019. He noted that the branch has become an academic and training hub, accommodating hundreds of doctors across various specialties and providing them with extensive opportunities for professional development according to the latest standards.
Dr. Suhail considered the branch's achievements a national accomplishment that benefits the entire health sector, laying the foundation for a new generation of qualified medical professionals. He highlighted the significant role of direct support from the Council's leadership in expanding programs and enhancing the branch's standing as a comprehensive training center nationwide.
Dr. Mohammed al-Abdali, the branch's Registrar, added that the training process and program development follow well-planned strategies to meet the aspirations of learners.
