Sana'a: Al-Tahrir Square in the capital Sana'a will tomorrow evening, Thursday, host the youth scout carnival and torch-lighting ceremony marking the 63rd anniversary of the eternal September 26 Revolution, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports through the Scouts and Guides Association.
According to Yemen News Agency, the carnival will feature a scout parade with the participation of 350 young scouts and scout leaders who, through their formations, will depict the six goals of the September 26 Revolution. The event will also include an artistic tableau reflecting the occasion, the presentation of a pledge document from the youth scouts to the President of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, followed by the lighting of the main torch.
On Wednesday, the Scout Commission held final rehearsals for the parade at Al-Zurafi Stadium in the capital, during which scout participants formed six constellations, each representing one of the revolution's six goals.
Ali Shumlan, Commissioner of Public Relations at the General Scout Commission and Scout Commissioner of the Capital Secretariat, confirmed that the commission has completed all preparations for the youth scout carnival. He noted that the final rehearsals demonstrated great enthusiasm and discipline among the participants.
Shumlan emphasized that commemorating the 63rd anniversary of the eternal September 26 Revolution comes amid Yemen's continued honorable stance in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza. He stressed that the Zionist aggression will not deter Yemenis from continuing to support the Palestinian cause and stand by the people of Gaza until victory is achieved.
He further noted that youth scouts annually commemorate both the September 21 and September 26 revolutions, a tradition closely tied to the scouting movement and its proud youth members.
