Sana'a: The Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Sam Al-Bashiri, inaugurated the resumption of production at the "Ceramica Radfan" factory, marking a significant step forward in the local ceramic industry. The factory, which uses local raw materials, had been stalled for years due to various challenges.

According to Yemen News Agency, the reopening of the factory is the result of a recovery and rehabilitation plan developed collaboratively by the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment, alongside the factory management. During the inauguration, Al-Bashiri was briefed on the progress of the production process and the quality of the local ceramic products, which reportedly surpass those of imported counterparts.

Al-Bashiri expressed satisfaction with the factory's reopening, noting its reliance on local production inputs. He emphasized the Ministry's commitment to protecting the factory's production from market dumping. The minister highlighted the high quality of the local ceramics and underscored the broader impacts of the factory's resumption, which includes the return of 300 workers to their jobs and providing income for 300 families. This move aligns with the government's objectives to localize industries and bolster local production.

The Acting Minister also mentioned the Ministry's support for the factory's future development and expansion efforts, reiterating a commitment to restart other stalled factories as part of a broader plan to address industrial stagnation, localize industries, and support local production.
