Sanaa:Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment Sam Al-Bashiri inspected production processes at several factories on Thursday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Acting Minister was briefed by specialists on the operational mechanisms of the production lines, the technologies employed, and the operational capacities of these facilities.
Al-Bashiri emphasized the government's and the Ministry of Economy's commitment to fully support the industrial sector. This support aims to expand the base of national industries and increase production rates to meet local market demand for various goods and products, thereby helping to reduce the import bill.
He further noted the government's dedication to protecting local production from practices such as dumping and unfair competition. Al-Bashiri affirmed that the industrial sector receives government backing and benefits from a range of incentives and facilities as stipulated by the Investment Law.
