Al-Mahra:The Governor of Al-Mahra, Al-Qa'tabi Al-Faraji, has made a public appeal urging the people of Al-Mahra and the southern and eastern governorates of Yemen to resist involvement in conspiratorial agendas driven by the Saudi occupier. He emphasized the importance of national unity and the return of these regions to the nation's fold.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Al-Faraji's statement called on social forces, tribes, and individuals in the occupied areas to recognize the critical juncture facing the country. He highlighted the need for national cohesion to counter fragmentation and warned against the delusions of expansion propagated by external forces. He praised the people of Al-Mahra for their steadfastness and rejection of attempts to undermine their identity.
The governor further criticized the Saudi regime's use of civilian facilities, particularly the Al-Ghaydah and Riyan airports, for military purposes. He described this conversion of civilian airports into military bases as a hostile act that violates international law, including the United Nations Charter and the Fourth Geneva Convention. Al-Faraji stressed that such actions endanger civilians and strip legal protections from civilian infrastructure.
Governor Al-Faraji called on the United Nations and international bodies to condemn these violations and demand the cessation of the militarization of Yemeni airports. He urged the communities of Al-Mahra to strengthen their unity against the Saudi adversary to protect the nation's future.
