Acting PM Miftah Launches New Citizen Service Center at Ministry of Civil Service

Sana'a: Acting Prime Minister Muftah inaugurated the Model Citizen Service Center at the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development. The center was established with self-funding from the Ministry and implemented by the Central Emergency Intervention Unit at the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development.

According to Yemen News Agency, Miftah was joined by the Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development, Dr. Khalid al-Hawali, his deputy, Anas Sufyan, and the National Team for Simplifying Transaction Procedures and Improving Service Quality. Together, they toured the various departments of the Citizen Service Center to understand the services provided to citizens and members of the state's administrative apparatus.

The Acting Prime Minister reviewed the center's operational mechanism for delivering services to citizens and employees. This process includes receiving clients, reviewing and receiving documents, managing the transaction workflow, and ensuring the final delivery to the citizen within a specific timeline. He acknowledged the center's standards, infrastructure, electronic systems, and operational mechanisms, highlighting its role in simplifying and accelerating transaction procedures.

Miftah viewed the center as a model for other public service units, which could help in streamlining transactions, enhancing service quality, and boosting citizen satisfaction. He stressed the importance of expediting transactions and addressing client complaints and grievances to ensure fairness.

He also noted the center's contribution to promoting transparency and integrity, preventing extortion, and providing feedback for service delivery improvements. The Minister of Civil Service provided an overview of the center's focus on accessible services according to streamlined standards, emphasizing the training received by staff to enhance service quality and citizen satisfaction.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development and Head of the National Team for Streamlining Procedures, Sufian, explained that the center was established as a model according to the service center development matrix. This matrix was based on recommendations from an inspection and evaluation report targeting 21 priority public service units at central and local levels.
