Sana'a: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources held an oratorical event on Sunday in the capital Sana'a to commemorate the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, Supreme Political Council Member Mohammad Al-Nuaimi emphasized the importance of celebrating the Mawlid Al-Nabawi as an opportunity to draw lessons from the Prophet's life and follow his guidance in maintaining steadfastness against challenges. He noted that the occasion carries a renewed pledge of loyalty to the Prophet and connects its spiritual values to the nation's ongoing efforts to achieve self-reliance and independence.
Al-Nuaimi called for intensifying efforts in the agricultural sector, describing it as vital for national food security and self-sufficiency. He urged officials and employees to uphold values of solidarity, social cohesion, and community development, while inviting the public to participate broadly in the upcoming central events on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.
For his part, Ministry undersecretary for Services Murad Al-Shayef stated that celebrating the Prophet's birth expresses deep devotion and gratitude for the divine guidance brought by the Final Messenger. He stressed that the event reinforces faith-based identity and connects generations to the principles of justice, dignity, and service.
Deputy Minister for Irrigation and Land Reclamation Ali Hazza highlighted that Al-Mawlid serves as an exceptional spiritual milestone to inspire patience, perseverance, and social cooperation across the community.
The event, attended by ministry officials and leadership from the General Authority for Water Resources, included a lecture by cultural activist Zaid Al-Wazir on key milestones from the Prophet's biography and the practical application of his teachings in daily life.
