Sanaa:A series of airstrikes and artillery shelling conducted by US-Saudi-Emirati forces and their mercenaries on October 6 over the years have resulted in significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction across various governorates.
According to Yemen News Agency, On October 6, 2015, airstrikes in Saada Governorate led to the deaths of a woman and two children in Baqim District, with two men injured and a home completely destroyed. In the Saqin District, three women were killed and four others injured in multiple airstrikes. Extensive damage was reported in several areas, including the destruction of homes, telecommunications networks, and agricultural land.
In 2016, airstrikes targeted the Nihm District in Sana'a Governorate, killing a man and a woman and injuring eight others. In Hodeida Governorate, airstrikes destroyed homes and infrastructure, targeting areas such as Al-Khokha District, Hodeida City, and its airport. Further attacks in Saada Governorate and other regions caused additional casualties and damage.
By 2017, airstrikes in Saada Governorate's Munabbih District killed three citizens, including a child, while border guard fire resulted in more deaths. Cluster bomb explosions and additional airstrikes continued to inflict harm in Al-Jawf and Sana'a Governorates, among others.
In 2018, shelling by the enemy army in Saada Governorate led to injuries, with populated villages being hit by missiles and artillery shells. Airstrikes targeted several areas, further exacerbating the destruction and civilian suffering.
The following year, in 2019, airstrikes and mercenary attacks in Hodeida Governorate's Bajil District and other regions resulted in the destruction of property and infrastructure, with additional combat activities reported in various districts.
In 2020, intensive shelling by mercenaries in Hodeida Governorate's Al-Hawk District led to a citizen's death and injuries to seven others. Airstrikes caused damage in Marib and Al-Jawf Governorates, affecting both residential and public areas.
By 2021, Saudi artillery shelling in Saada Governorate resulted in multiple casualties. Airstrikes in Hajjah, Marib, and Hodeida Governorates, alongside further artillery shelling, led to additional destruction and civilian harm.
In 2022 and 2023, reconnaissance aircraft and mercenaries continued to conduct airstrikes and establish combat fortifications in Hays District and other areas in Hodeida Governorate, causing further damage and instability in the region.
