Al-hodeidah: A meeting chaired by Deputy Governor Mohamed Hleisi reviewed plans to enhance service delivery and field readiness in Al-Hodeidah ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Officials from tourism, water and electricity authorities, sanitation, public works, traffic police, and the coast guard discussed improving the city's appearance, preparing parks, the corniche, and recreational areas, and ensuring smooth traffic flow. The Sanitation Fund and Public Works Office outlined plans to remove waste, clear informal settlements, and address visual obstructions.
According to Yemen News Agency, water and electricity authorities detailed measures to meet increased holiday demand, maintain stable power, and respond promptly to emergencies. Traffic and coastal security plans were also reviewed to ensure safety and prevent accidents.
Following the meeting, Hleisi and officials conducted a field visit to tourist facilities and resorts to assess readiness, emphasizing local authorities' commitment to supporting tourism, boosting economic activity, and showcasing Al-Hodeidah as the 'Bride of the Red Sea.'
