Al hodeidah: Preparations have been completed in Al Hodeidah Governorate for the central celebration marking the Prophet Mohammed's birthday, with gathering sites fully equipped to receive large crowds tomorrow. The sites include Al-Sammad Martyr Square in Al Hodeidah city, Al-Rasoul Al-Azam Square in Al-Husainiyah, and Al-Alfi Sports Stadium, which has been designated for the women's central event.
According to Yemen News Agency, the preparations included setting up entrances and exits, decorations, lighting and sound systems, and completing logistical, medical, traffic, security, and media arrangements. Water-spraying systems and medical and emergency teams have also been deployed to help cope with the hot weather. Governor Abdullah Atifi stated that the organizing committees had completed all assigned tasks under an integrated plan covering organizational, service, technical, health, security, and media aspects.
He further mentioned that Al-Sammad Martyr Square would receive participants from the city's northern, southern, eastern, and central districts, while Al-Rasoul Al-Azam Square would host participants from the southern districts. Al-Alfi Stadium has been designated for the women's central event. First Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bishri highlighted that teams had been assigned specific areas and routes to ensure smooth crowd movement and efficient management from arrival until departure. Security arrangements also include protecting the event areas and regulating vehicle and participant movement.
The media and technical teams have prepared a plan to cover and document the events, deploying field teams and broadcasting equipment to simultaneously follow activities at the three venues and capture scenes of the large crowds. Al-Bashri noted that coordination among the various committees includes prompt responses to any field needs during the events, including health, service, and organizational requirements, ensuring the program runs smoothly and participants move efficiently.
The organizing committee has urged participants to cooperate with the committees, follow designated entry and exit routes and field instructions, and make use of the services and facilities provided at the gathering venues to ensure the success of the central celebration of the Prophet's Birthday. With preparations at the gathering venues complete, attention will turn tomorrow to the central celebration of the Prophet's Birthday, marking the culmination of days of events and activities across the governorate in an atmosphere of widespread joy at the birth of the Noble Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
