Al Hodeidah Workshop Empowers 50 Beneficiaries in Sheep Farming

Al hodeidah: A training and practical workshop on animal empowerment in sheep farming was held on Saturday in Al-Qanawis District of Al Hodeidah Governorate. The workshop targeted 50 beneficiaries as part of the economic empowerment projects implemented by the General Authority for Zakat.

According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of participants in sheep management and husbandry, helping move targeted families from a state of need to production. This, in turn, is expected to improve their income levels and achieve a sustainable economic impact.

The workshop focused on practical aspects of proper livestock rearing methods, feeding and care techniques, and mechanisms for preserving and developing animal assets in a way that ensures higher productivity.

The Director-General of the General Authority for Zakat office in the governorate, Mohammed Hazzaa, emphasized the importance of both awareness and practical training in the success of animal empowerment projects. He noted that building beneficiaries' capacities is a key factor in ensuring the sustainability of projects and achieving their goal of self-reliance.

For his part, the Director of the Economic Empowerment Department at the office, Abdullah Hazzaa, explained that the workshop is part of the accompanying plan for animal empowerment projects. It is aimed at equipping beneficiaries with the skills needed to better manage their projects and achieve sustainable economic returns.
