Al-mahwit: Al-Mahwit University, in collaboration with the Preparatory Committee for the Palestine Conference, the Central Committee for Mobilization, and the Yemeni Center for Political and Strategic Studies, organized a pivotal scientific symposium titled "The Nature of the Conflict with the Israeli Enemy". This event is part of a series of academic activities aimed at raising awareness about the Palestinian issue and refining intellectual approaches to the Arab-Israeli conflict.
According to Yemen News Agency, the symposium was attended by notable figures including the local Secretary-General of the Governorate, Dr. Ali Al-Zaykam, Governorate Deputies Abdulsalam Al-Thamari and Hussein Arkaad, and the Governorate Mobilization Official Ismail Sharaf al-Din. Dr. Mohammed Al-Shalabi, President of Al-Mahwit University, opened the symposium by reiterating that the Palestinian cause remains a deeply rooted principle for Yemenis. He highlighted Yemen's historical support for Palestinian rights and emphasized the symposium's role in maintaining awareness of the conflict with the Israeli enemy.
Dr. Al-Shalabi stressed the urgency of the symposium, given the escalating threats from the Zionist enemy. He called for increased awareness about the dangers posed by the Zionist entity and the importance of confronting its narratives. He described the conflict as a battle of awareness and steadfastness, beyond political or military confrontation, and reaffirmed Al-Mahwit University's commitment to research and programs that uphold the Palestinian identity and struggle.
The event, graced by the presence of Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Tawous, Deputy Mobilization Official Amer Al-Aqhoumi, and other dignitaries, featured three main themes presented by experts. The themes delved into the conflict's historical and cultural roots, the impact of Zionist control over the West, and the role of economic boycott in supporting resistance.
Dr. Abdulrahim Al-Humran from Sa'ada University discussed "The Conflict with the People of the Book", providing an intellectual and historical perspective on the conflict. He emphasized the importance of understanding the cultural and religious aspects to correct misconceptions and affirm Palestinian rights to their land and holy sites.
Abdulaziz Abu Talib, Executive Director of the Yemeni Center for Political and Strategic Studies, addressed the significance of economic boycotts, particularly during the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation. He highlighted the boycott as a crucial tool in weakening the enemy's support systems and enhancing resistance efforts.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Aram, President of Al-Bayda University, explored the theme of Zionist influence over Western policies concerning the Palestinian cause. He underscored the need for increased Arab and Islamic awareness to counter these influences and support Palestinian rights.
The symposium concluded with recommendations for continued academic and societal efforts to deepen understanding of the conflict. It called for more symposiums and studies to challenge the Zionist narrative and promote a unified front in supporting Palestinian resistance and rights.
