Sana'a: Residents of Al-Kuwait and Al-Qaa Al-Awsat neighborhoods in Al-Tahrir district in the capital Sana'a organized two community meetings on Wednesday to honor the birth of Prophet Muhammad. The gatherings were part of a series of events aimed at reinforcing the spiritual and cultural ties between the community and their revered Prophet.
According to Yemen News Agency, Khaled Al-Madani, the undersecretary for the capital Sana'a, emphasized the significance of the occasion as a means of fortifying the bond between the Yemeni populace and their leadership. He noted that the celebrations serve to deepen the people's connection with Prophet Muhammad and inspire them to follow his teachings, especially in facing adversities and powerful opponents.
Al-Madani encouraged the community to actively participate in the celebratory events and cultural evenings across neighborhoods, reflecting the profound respect and admiration the Yemeni people hold for the Prophet. He highlighted that the Prophet's birthday is an occasion to cultivate awareness, perseverance, and a sense of communal responsibility, following the Prophet's example of love and service to humanity.
Additionally, the General Mobilization in Al-Tahrir District organized a cultural seminar, as part of the preparatory activities for the Prophet's birthday. The seminar featured notable attendees, including Amanat Al-Asimah Deputy Mayor Abdul Latif Al-Omari, District Director Naji Al-Shay'ani, and Mobilization Official Abdul Latif Al-Wali.
Assistant Secretary-General of the Association of Yemeni Scholars, Scholar Khaled Musa, spoke at the seminar about the historical significance of the occasion for Yemenis. He praised the early Yemeni support for the Prophet and their role in spreading Islam globally. Musa urged participants to draw inspiration from the Prophet's teachings and to embody his ethical and moral standards in their lives.
In a related celebration, residents of Bir Al-Bahmah neighborhood in Al-Tahrir District held a cultural evening event. Head of the District Services Committee, Adel Al-Ansi, and Culture Sector Official, Abdul Haq Al-Sharafi, were present to join the festivities. Cultural activist Abdul Karim Al-Lahji underscored the importance of the celebration in reconnecting the community with their spiritual heritage and the Prophet's exemplary life.
Through these events, the Al-Tahrir district reaffirms its commitment to honoring the legacy of Prophet Muhammad, fostering unity and spiritual growth within the community.
