Sanaa: The National Supreme Authority for Combating Corruption organized a cultural event on Wednesday to commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Badr, the martyrdom of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, and to express solidarity with Iran and Lebanon in confronting the US-Israeli aggression.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by the Authority's Deputy Chairman Ridan Al-Mutawakel, board members Eng. Harith Al-Omari, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sheikh, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Kameem, and Saleem Al-Siyani, along with the Secretary-General Ahmed Atef. Researcher in Qur'anic culture, Yahya Abu Awadha, reviewed the lessons drawn from the Battle of Badr during the event.

He highlighted the outcomes of the battle that resonate to this day, noting the current challenges facing the nation make it urgent to benefit from these lessons. Abu Awadha explained that a key lesson from the Battle of Badr is that struggle in the cause of God is essential to confront forces of evil and crime, which today is reflected in confronting global arrogance represented by the United States and the Zionist entity.

He added that victory is measured not by numbers or equipment but by faith, planning, and certainty in Allah's promise, emphasizing that acting in the cause of Allah shortens distances. He pointed out that the nation today experiences submission due to its distance from the Holy Qur'an, stressing the need to return to the Book of Allah and the Prophet's biography for guidance.

The researcher noted that the Battle of Badr showed that true victory depends on faith and wise planning rather than military strength. He added that the martyrdom of Imam Ali resulted from Muslims' negligence after the death of the Prophet and the departure of great figures from the nation's leadership.
