Tehran: The Eye of Humanity Center for Rights and Development has condemned the recent attack on residential buildings in Resalat Square, Tehran, attributing the incident to actions by America and the Israeli enemy. This attack has reportedly led to the martyrdom of approximately 40 civilians, including women and children, and has caused numerous injuries and significant destruction of civilian property.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Eye of Humanity Center released a statement highlighting that the attack represents a violation of international humanitarian law, particularly concerning principles designed to protect civilians and civilian structures in conflict zones. The center argues that the deliberate targeting of residential areas constitutes a war crime that necessitates legal accountability and international prosecution.
The statement further emphasized the dangerous implications of continued attacks on civilians, noting that such actions escalate the cycle of violence and pose a threat to international peace and security. The center called for a clear and unequivocal condemnation of this crime by the international community and urged the United Nations and other international organizations to initiate an independent investigation into the incident to hold those responsible accountable.
The center also reiterated its call for effective international measures to halt attacks on civilians, ensure compliance with international humanitarian law, and provide protection for civilians in conflict zones.
