Bayda: Bayda governor Abdullah Idris has inaugurated a significant stone paving project in Bayda city, valued at 47 million riyals and funded by the local authority. The initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and improve the quality of life in the city.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Idris, alongside Shura Council member Abdullah al-Mudhafari, received a briefing from Public Works Sector official Eng. Khaled Al-Qafaei on the project's scope. The paving work will span an area of 2,500 square meters, extending from the Education Office on Kuwait Street to the Security Street and Al-Hayat Hospital.
The project encompasses stone paving and the installation of rainwater drainage channels. These improvements are expected to mitigate traffic congestion, reduce accidents, and contribute to the city's overall aesthetic enhancement.
During the launch event, Governor Idris emphasized the local authority's dedication to advancing public services and easing citizens' challenges. He highlighted that the paving and rehabilitation of main and secondary streets are integral components of a broader development initiative currently underway in the governorate.
Governor Idris also called for the project's completion to adhere to engineering standards and meet the designated timeframe, underscoring the importance of quality and efficiency in the execution of the work.
