Capital secretariat: Residents of the Sawwan and Al-Fawaris neighborhoods in Shaoub District of the Capital Secretariat organized on Wednesday a cultural and oratory event in celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Mohammed Al-Durra, along with a number of council members and the committee responsible for mobilizing activities in the district.
During the celebration, member of the Association of Yemeni Scholars, Scholar Khaled Al-Qarouti, highlighted the historic role of Yemenis in supporting, aiding, and standing by the Messenger of Allah in his call to God and in spreading the message of Islam across the world.
He stressed that commemorating the Prophet's birthday reflects the morals, values, and principles embodied and upheld by Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. He called for seizing the occasion of the Prophet's birth to strengthen attachment to the Messenger of the nation, the guide, and his eternal message that brought humanity from darkness to light.
Al-Qarouti also urged active participation in commemorating this great occasion through continued events and gatherings, adorning neighborhoods, streets, and buildings with green decorations, and celebrating in a manner befitting the lofty status of the noble Messenger.
