Sanaa: The final stage of the scientific and cultural curricular competitions for martyrs' children in public and private schools concluded today in the Capital Secretariat, organized by the Education Sector in the Secretariat and educational districts in the directorates.
According to Yemen News Agency, the competitions were held in coordination with the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families and saw the participation of 2,442 male and female students from the sixth, seventh, and eighth basic grades, as well as the first and second secondary grades in Capital Secretariat schools.
During the closing ceremony, the First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, praised the level of educational attention and care received by the martyrs' children. He highlighted the development of their scientific, cognitive, and cultural capacities as a fulfillment of the sacrifices made by their fathers.
He emphasized the importance of focusing on the education of martyrs' sons and daughters, equipping them with Quranic culture to confront misleading cultures and enhance cultural, faith, and jihadist awareness among students.
The participating students expressed their happiness with the organization of such competitions and programs, which they believe help to develop their abilities, raise their educational and cultural levels, and foster fraternal bonds across various educational districts.
The final day of the competitions, attended by the head of the Education Sector in the Capital Secretariat, Abdulqader Al-Mahdi, alongside other educational leaders, witnessed significant competition among first and second secondary grade students.
In the second secondary grade male competitions, schools from Al-Safia Directorate achieved first place, Al-Sabaeen Directorate came second, Bani Al-Harith (1) Directorate third, and Mu'in Directorate third repeated. For the first secondary grade male, the top positions were secured by schools from Al-Thawra, Al-Sabaeen, and Al-Wehdah directorates, with Bani Al-Harith (2) Directorate taking third repeated.
In the second secondary grade female competitions, schools from Bani Al-Harith (2) Directorate won first place, with first repeated going to Bani Al-Harith (1), Al-Sabaeen Directorate second, Shuaub (1) Directorate third, and Azal and Al-Thawra directorates sharing third repeated. For the first secondary grade female, the leading positions were claimed by schools from Bani Al-Harith (1) Directorate, followed by Mu'in Directorate in first repeated, Old Sana'a Directorate second, and Al-Thawra Directorate third.
