Amran: Governor of Amran Faisal Juma'an has inaugurated several development and service projects in Al-Sud District, with a total investment of 197 million Yemeni Riyals. The projects are set to enhance local development and improve basic services in the area.
According to Yemen News Agency, the projects were funded by the Emergency Central Development Interventions Unit, the local authority, and community contributions. Among the initiatives, Dr. Juma'an opened the rehabilitated government complex in the district, a project costing 31 million Riyals, financed by the local authority. Furthermore, a significant water project, valued at 60 million Riyals, was also inaugurated with support from the local authority.
In the education sector, three new classrooms were added to Khawla School at a cost of 10 million Riyals, funded by the community. Additionally, Al-Ilmiah School was opened with a budget of 15 million Riyals, jointly funded by the local authority and the Central Development Interventions Unit.
In the realm of infrastructure development, Governor Ja'man initiated the paving of the 6-kilometer Ruhain road, which cost 40 million Riyals, with funding from the community and a 30% contribution from the local authority and the Emergency Central Development Unit. Two additional roads were opened: the 4-kilometer Murbakh road and the 3.5-kilometer Aradd road, both projects costing 20 million Riyals and financed through community initiatives, with contributions from the local authority and the Emergency Central Development Unit.
During the ceremony, Governor Ja'man commended the community's active involvement in supporting state efforts towards development and construction. He praised the role of the Emergency Central Development Interventions Unit in backing projects that alleviate citizens' hardships and improve transportation between villages. Emphasizing the priority of road projects, he highlighted their significance in connecting districts and villages, thereby enhancing both economic and social mobility.
Governor Juma'an also called for increased efforts to support community initiatives, which are crucial in expanding development and directly benefiting citizens. District Director Abdul Fattah Al-Wadi'i acknowledged the provincial leadership's support in executing these projects and recognized the substantial efforts of the citizens in making community initiatives successful, particularly in road construction and maintenance.
During his visit, the governor listened to citizens' needs for additional service projects, including road expansions, construction of retaining walls for main roads, and implementation of water barriers.
