Dhamar: The branch of the General Authority of Endowments and Guidance in Dhamar Governorate, in collaboration with the awareness and mobilization system, organized an extended gathering for scholars, preachers, and guides to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zayd bin Ali. The event aimed to reaffirm readiness to confront aggression and siege.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the gathering, Guidance Sector official Abdullah Musharrah emphasized the importance of drawing lessons from the values of responsibility, awareness, and steadfastness, in line with Imam Zayd's reformist message. He urged adherence to the Quran and the Sunnah, highlighting the role of scholars in confronting injustice and deviation. Musharrah stressed that national reform relies on scholars promoting good and preventing wrongdoing, warning against compromising with oppressors or neglecting religious and moral duties.
Musharrah called upon scholars and preachers to enhance social awareness and intensify cultural and educational activities in mosques, linking Imam Zayd's legacy to contemporary issues to strengthen religious and national awareness, as well as social cohesion. Sheikh Ismail Al-Wushli of the Yemeni Scholars Association remarked that Imam Zayd represented a complete model of faith, knowledge, and struggle, serving as a source of inspiration in resisting tyranny.
Dhamar City Guidance Sector official Mohammed Al-Dawla highlighted the occasion as an opportunity to learn from Imam Zayd's commitment to principles and opposition to injustice. He called for greater attention to his biography and teachings. The gathering, held at the Shamsiyah School in Dhamar City, concluded with a statement read by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Mujahid. The statement expressed support for the speech by Ansarullah leader Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi on the occasions of the Prophet's migration anniversary and Ashura.
The statement reaffirmed resilience in confronting what it described as the enemies of Islam, specifically the United States and Israel, and called for heightened awareness, countering conspiracies, and upholding the principle of 'unity of fronts.' It emphasized drawing inspiration from Imam Zayd's approach in facing major powers and announced continued readiness for any escalation, alongside ongoing mobilization activities and enrollment in training centers to elevate preparedness levels.
Additionally, the statement welcomed the armed forces' announcement regarding breaking the air blockade imposed on Yemen, stressing the necessity to end occupation and secure the Yemeni people's independence, freedom, and access to their national resources. It urged Yemenis across all governorates to unite, strengthen solidarity, and collaborate to achieve the liberation of all Yemeni territories and end foreign presence.
