Discussion of Performance of Local Water, Sanitation Corporation in Hajjah

Hajjah: The Board of Directors of the local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Hajjah governorate discussed today, under the chairmanship of the governor - Chairman of the Board Hilal al-Soufi, the corporation's performance and its needs. The council reviewed the annual report for the year 1447 AH, the difficulties, ways to overcome them, and the procedures implemented by the corporation according to the recommendations and decisions of the previous meeting.

According to Yemen News Agency, the attendees were briefed on the current situation, reforms and improvements made during the past period, and the matrix for addressing obstacles facing the corporation's work and its implementation mechanism. The meeting touched on the projects plan and required needs for the corporation and its branches for the year 1448 AH, and developments related to financial reinforcements for the corporation.

Aspects related to drilling reinforcement wells in the governorate center were also reviewed, in implementation of the recommendations of the House of Representatives and the Council of Ministers regarding the water problem to reduce diesel consumption and lower costs. The meeting addressed efforts to support the corporation by introducing lithium battery technology, maintaining the Wadi Nisah dam to enhance water sources at the Ain Ali spring, and the corporation's steps regarding the Qadam water project.

The corporation's preparations to revive the anniversary of the birth of the Noble Prophet - may the best prayers and most complete peace be upon him and his family - in the general administration and branches, and the possibility of granting discounts to consumers in celebration of this great religious occasion, were also discussed. The attendees affirmed their keenness to address the obstacles facing the corporation's performance and to double efforts to develop the level of services provided to citizens and alleviate their suffering.
