Sana'a: A meeting in Sana'a today, chaired by the head of the General Authority for Water Resources and Facilities, Engineer Hadi Quray'ah, discussed the results of the inspection and performance evaluation of the center and service delivery mechanisms at the authority - "First Stage - Foundation."
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included the national team for simplifying transaction procedures and improving service quality under the Prime Minister's office, composed of Dr. Mohammed Al-Shamiri, Fayez Al-Zubairi, Mahdi Al-Sultan, and Asil Al-Mughalis. They addressed the detailed findings of the inspection and evaluation of the center according to criteria for each area, the availability of procedural guides, and the level of their application in practice.
The meeting, attended by the Director of the Public Service and Complaints Department at the authority, Habib Sultan, and department staff, reviewed the objectives of the inspection and evaluation process. It focused on diagnosing the reality of services, identifying strengths and weaknesses to improve and develop performance, enhancing responsiveness to complaints and aspirations of clients, ensuring justice for them, and preparing public service units for the next phase of service evaluation and development - "Building," leading to the third stage - "Excellence."
The meeting reviewed the stages of service evaluation and development, starting with the first stage "Foundation," which assesses and analyzes the current situation of service centers and mechanisms. This stage focuses on their existence, type, and readiness to meet basic organizational, material, and administrative standards and requirements for service delivery, and identifies priorities for improvement and development in each unit. It also addressed the second stage "Building," and the third stage "Excellence," detailing the steps of each stage and the level of actual implementation of the beneficiary service guide.
During the meeting, Engineer Quray'ah emphasized that evaluating the performance of the center and service delivery mechanisms at the authority aligns with the directives of the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the head of the Supreme Political Council regarding simplifying transaction procedures.
He highlighted that the evaluation of public service units is part of the Change and Construction Government's program to improve the level of public services provided to citizens and mitigate their difficulties amid the ongoing circumstances in the country due to the continued repercussions of aggression and siege.
Engineer Quray'ah underscored the necessity of diagnosing the current situation of service centers and mechanisms, verifying the procedures followed regarding transaction processing, completion time, cost, responsiveness to clients, listening to their complaints, grievances, and suggestions, and identifying key strengths, weaknesses, difficulties, and obstacles to develop services and simplify procedures.
The national team for simplifying transaction procedures and improving service quality under the Prime Minister's office discussed their tasks in following up on results and providing technical support to entities and public units to enable them to improve their services and simplify their procedures.
The team also elaborated on providing assistance and technical consultation to service development teams in entities to update and complete service guides, develop service delivery centers in terms of activity requirements, work mechanisms and models, and train workers in those centers to ensure attentive and courteous treatment of clients.
