Sana'a: The Ministry of Electricity, Energy, and Water, together with its affiliated organizations, hosted a commemorative event in the capital, Sana'a, on Monday to honor the martyrdom of Imam Zaid bin Ali. The event was held under the slogan "Insight and Jihad."

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Ali Saif, the Minister of Electricity and Water, emphasized the significance of commemorating Imam Zaid as a symbol of freedom and dignity. He noted that Imam Zaid's martyrdom represented profound awareness and steadfastness.

Minister Saif described Imam Zaid's uprising as a just revolution against falsehood, which transcended mere political boundaries. He viewed it as a moral and humanitarian stance aimed at restoring the core values of Islam and the nation's dignity after the caliphate had become oppressive.

The minister urged the people of Yemen to uphold the truth and follow Imam Zaid's path. He encouraged drawing lessons from Imam Zaid's sacrifices to confront present-day challenges, including the aggression and siege by the "American, Saudi, and Israeli coalition" that he claimed was attempting to undermine Yemeni resolve.

Minister Saif also called for unity around the revolutionary leadership to support the Palestinian cause, which he considered a cause for the entire nation.

Cultural activist Mohsen al-Shami added to the commemoration by highlighting Imam Zaid's role in reviving the spirit of jihad and his commitment to speaking truth to power.
