Sana'a: The sons of the African communities in Sana'a organized a cultural evening commemorating the anniversary of the Day of the Guardianship (Yawm al-Wilayah) of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) for the year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the evening, the head of the Somali community, Ibrahim Abdul Qader, emphasized the importance of commemorating the anniversary of Yawm al-Wilayah, considering the esteemed status of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in the conscience of the nation.
He noted that celebrating this anniversary is an honor for the nation and serves as an important milestone to strengthen the values of faith-based guardianship (wilayah) and unity among the sons of the Islamic nation. It is also seen as a safeguard against normalization with the Zionist Jews.
The event was attended by the official in charge of African communities, Ali Al-Daylami, along with the heads of the Sudanese, Ethiopian, and Somali African communities, and a number of community members. The evening featured segments and anthems from Sudanese and Ethiopian folklore.
