Evenings and Symposium in Shu’ub District, Sana’a, Commemorating Prophet’s Birthday

Sana'a: Cultural evenings and a symposium were held in Shu'ub District, Sana'a, to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.

According to Yemen News Agency, residents of the Al-Majd Al-Gharbiyah neighborhood in Al-Nasr district, Shandaq in Saba' district, Bir Zaid Al-Shamali in Al-Jaraf Al-Sharqi district, the Al-Nahmi Mosque in Al-Nasr district, and Habra in Himyar district organized celebratory evenings that included speeches and cultural presentations expressing the significance of the occasion and its place in the hearts of Yemenis, as well as their close connection to the Prophet.

Participants in the evenings included Shura Council member Ahmed Al-Sharabi, Head of the Social Affairs Committee of the Sana'a Local Council Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, members of the Yemeni Scholars Association Sheikh Saleh Al-Kholani and scholar Mufaddal Ahmed, neighborhood mobilization officials, community leaders, and other prominent figures. The speeches reviewed aspects of the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and his role in spreading the values of mercy, justice, and guidance. They emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday in a way that strengthens the connection with the Prophet and encourages emulation of his noble character and righteous path.

A cultural seminar was also held at the Al-Tawbah Mosque in the Al-Jaraf Al-Sharqi neighborhood. Attendees included the head of the Social Affairs Committee, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb; the Undersecretary of the Secretariat for Education and Youth, Mohammed Al-Banous; and member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, Sheikh Hamoud Sharaf Al-Din, along with a number of other scholars.

The seminar addressed three main themes: the first, "The Prophet Muhammad: Leader and Role Model," was presented by cultural activist Hassan Sharaf Al-Din; the second, "The Holy Quran: The Primary and Illuminating Source for Understanding the Prophet Muhammad," was presented by Sheikh Khalid Moussa, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association; and the third, "The Prophet Muhammad: Most of His Time Was Dedicated to Striving in the Path of Allah," was presented by Sheikh Yahya Al-Mahdi. The symposium's participants emphasized that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is a spiritual and cultural milestone, strengthening the connection with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and drawing lessons and inspiration from his noble life, thus contributing to the consolidation of the values of unity, solidarity, and virtuous morals in society.

They called for broad and active participation in the central events commemorating the Prophet's birthday, befitting the grandeur of the occasion and the exalted status of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in the hearts of the nation's people.
