Sana'a: First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Muftah met today with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital, Ali al-Hadi, his deputy, Mohammed Salah, and a group of businessmen and traders. The meeting aimed to explore avenues to enhance and develop the private sector's crucial role in national development, construction, and community service, particularly following the introduction of the new 2025 Investment Law and its associated incentives.
According to Yemen News Agency, the discussions also addressed various challenges facing the private sector and proposed mechanisms for joint action to overcome or mitigate these obstacles. These discussions took into account the current circumstances affecting the country, including ongoing aggression and blockades.
Muftah commended the private sector and traders for their pivotal role during years of aggression and blockade, acknowledging their steadfastness and commitment to providing essential goods to the Yemeni population. He reiterated the government's dedication to strengthening partnerships with the private sector to bolster its contribution to the nation's social and economic development.
