Hodeida: A free medical camp for patients with heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes concluded today at Al-Thawra General Hospital in Hodeidah Governorate. The two-day camp was organized by the hospital in coordination with medical, pharmaceutical, and clinical nutrition staff.

According to Yemen News Agency, the camp provided examinations, tests, medical consultations, and dispensed medications. A total of 908 patients benefited from the services offered over the two days, with 425 patients seen on the first day and 483 on the final day.

Dr. Khaled Suhail, the hospital director, praised the camp’s success in alleviating the suffering of patients and those in need, embodying the principle of social solidarity amidst the difficult circumstances imposed by the aggression and blockade. He highlighted the humanitarian and patriotic role of the national pharmaceutical companies supporting the camp, which actively contributed to providing the necessary quantities of free medications for patients. He considered this support a fundamental pillar in the camp’s success and in ensuring that pharmaceutical services reached those who needed them.

For his part, the camp director, Dr. Adel Jabran, explained that the final day saw a high pace of work to accommodate all visitors. Free consultations were provided, and beneficiaries received a 50% discount on laboratory tests, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and echocardiograms. Pharmacological and nutritional guidance was also provided by clinical pharmacy teams. He noted that the camp reflected the strong sense of responsibility among the participating medical and technical staff, who worked as a unified team to provide comprehensive healthcare to patients with chronic conditions from the governorate and surrounding areas.
