Hajjah: An expanded meeting was held on Wednesday in Hajjah governorate's administrative center, chaired by Secretary-General of the Local Council Ismail Al-Muhaim, as part of preparations and mobilization for the governorate's central celebration marking the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Governorate's General Mobilization Abdullah Shaim, local and mobilization officials, and social figures. During the meeting, Al-Muhaim described commemorating the Prophet's birthday as a faith-based occasion, emphasizing the strong bond between the descendants of the Ansar and the Prophet. He recalled the Prophet's saying, 'Faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni,' highlighting Yemenis' historical role as early supporters of Islam.
Al-Muhaim urged active participation in the central celebration to convey a message to the world that Yemenis are staunch supporters of the Messenger of Allah. He emphasized the Prophet's role in bringing truth and leading humanity from darkness into light.
Hajjah Security Director Brigadier General Hassan Al-Qasimi highlighted the Yemenis' distinctive reverence for the Prophet and their commitment to emulating him. He addressed the longstanding relationship between Yemenis and the Prophet, underscoring their historic role in supporting the Islamic faith. Al-Qasimi stressed the significance of marking the occasion on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal in a manner that reflects the deep connection with the Prophet.
Judge Abdul-Majid Sharaf Al-Din, Head of the Grievances Redress Authority's branch, emphasized recognizing the religious occasion's sanctity and the need to return to Allah and the Prophet. He noted Yemenis' eagerness to celebrate the Prophet's birthday, expressing their love and attachment to him, while countering efforts to separate Muslims from the Prophet, such as labeling the celebration as innovation.
District Director Mahyoub Sura'a outlined the steps taken to ensure broad participation in the central celebrations on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal, marking the Prophet's birthday.
