Hodeidah: A meeting held on Sunday in Hodeidah Governorate, bringing together Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Abdullah Al-Washli and First Undersecretary of the Governorate Ahmed Al-Bishri, discussed mechanisms to enhance tourism services and service arrangements during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by the Governorate Undersecretary for Services Mohammed Al-Hulaisi, along with directors of relevant offices and concerned authorities, reviewed joint efforts to improve services in hotels, restaurants, parks, and public gardens, aiming to create a suitable environment for visitors during the holiday.
The meeting also addressed coordination mechanisms between the Coast Guard Authority, Cleaning and Improvement Funds, the Public Works, Electricity, Water, Slaughterhouses, Economy and Industry offices. This coordination seeks to enhance integrated efforts to showcase the governorate's tourism appeal and ensure the provision of services for citizens and visitors.
The Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism emphasized the importance of adhering to the display of price lists in tourism facilities and hotels. He also highlighted the need to intensify monitoring efforts to ensure service stability and regulate facility operations during the holiday period. He explained that the ministry and the local authority are working to strengthen the readiness of the tourism sector and improve service levels, reflecting the tourism potential enjoyed by Hodeidah Governorate.
The First Undersecretary of the Governorate stressed the importance of integrating efforts among various service and tourism entities to implement the prepared plans for the Eid al-Adha holiday. This would contribute to improved services and provide a suitable environment for visitors across the governorate's districts.
Meanwhile, the Governorate Undersecretary for Services stressed the need to raise field readiness and intensify oversight and coordination among executive offices. This will ensure smooth services in the sectors of tourism, sanitation, public works, electricity, water, and slaughterhouses, while strengthening preparations during the holiday period to meet the needs of citizens and visitors.
