Ibb: The Fourth District of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in Ibb governorate has initiated a field awareness campaign in schools and universities, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and public appearance. This campaign coincides with the upcoming celebrations of the Prophet's birthday anniversary.
According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign, scheduled to run until the 12th of the upcoming month of Rabi' al-Awwal, aims to enhance celebrations of this religious occasion through practical actions that reinforce community responsibility. It seeks to instill the culture of cleanliness as both a religious and civilizational value, while also increasing environmental awareness among students and community members.
Adel Omar, the Executive Director of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in the governorate, stated that the campaign is part of the preparations for celebrating the birthday of the Prophet, peace be upon him and his family. It reflects the faith-based identity and Islamic values that advocate for cleanliness and environmental care. Omar emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Fund, the community, and educational institutions to ensure the success of both awareness and cleanliness programs. He praised the leadership and workers of the Fourth District for their efforts in implementing related activities.
Majid Al-Bukhayti, the head of the Fourth District, highlighted that the campaign aims to raise community awareness about reducing behaviors that impede cleanliness efforts. It encourages active participation in preparing neighborhoods, streets, and public facilities for the celebration of the master of prophets and messengers.
Al-Bukhayti elaborated that the campaign's program includes awareness activities in educational institutions, community-participated cleanliness drives, and initiatives to improve the city's public appearance. Moreover, the "Cleanliness and Environmental Awareness Ambassador" initiative will be launched in schools and universities to honor students who adhere to cleanliness guidelines, supported by a field monitoring and follow-up mechanism.
He further explained that this initiative serves as a practical method to instill values of cleanliness and community responsibility in students, enhancing their environmental awareness and motivating them to contribute to the cleanliness of their school and community environments.
