Muscat: A training workshop commenced at Ibb University on Saturday, focusing on the deployment of the electronic learning management system "IBB U LMS". The event is organized by the Development and Quality Assurance Center in collaboration with the Information Technology and Digital Transformation Center. The workshop spans two days and includes 35 teaching staff members from various faculties and centers of the university.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the opening session, Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili, Rector of Ibb University, emphasized the importance of leveraging the university's scientific and human resources to create a significant shift in employing modern technologies. He highlighted the need to expand their use in both academic and administrative domains. Dr. Al-Hujaili underscored that enhancing the digital capabilities of teaching staff and students is crucial for advancing academic education. This development aids students in transitioning from traditional learning methods to self-learning, fostering a scientific mindset capable of adapting to rapid changes.
Dr. Al-Hujaili further stated that digital transformation is now a strategic imperative for future universities. The Rector also pointed out that the electronic learning management platform is a result of the efforts by the Information Technology program at the College of Computing.
