Dhamar: Tribal and official efforts have succeeded in settling a murder case between members of the Al-Ribat family from Bani Bahr district in Atmah District, Dhamar Governorate, and the Al-Khabrani family from Al-Qurayshiyah District in Rada'a, Al-Bayda Governorate. The incident occurred about seven months ago.

According to Yemen News Agency, during a tribal gathering attended by Al-Bayda Governorate Undersecretary Adel Qarmoush, Al-Bayda Criminal Investigations Director Colonel Mohammed Al-Khatib, Director of the Office of the Al-Bayda Governor Faisal Hassan, Sheikh Abbas Al-Amadi, and a number of sheikhs and dignitaries from Atmah District, Sheikh Jalal Al-Samhi, on behalf of the heirs of the deceased Hamdan Mohammed Al-Ribat from Bani Bahr in Atmah, announced a pardon for the perpetrator, Muqbil Ahmed Al-Khabrani of Al-Qurayshiyah District, for the sake of Allah and in honor of those present.

Al-Samhi stated that the tribal initiative came in response to the call by the Leader of the Revolution, Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to settle murder and revenge cases and devote efforts to supporting the armed forces in completing the liberation of the homeland, breaking the blockade imposed on the Yemeni people, and recovering looted national resources.

Undersecretary Qarmoush praised the heirs of the deceased for pardoning the perpetrator, describing the gesture as a reflection of the deeply rooted values among Yemeni society of reconciliation and forgiveness. He also commended the efforts of social figures, sheikhs, and dignitaries who contributed to resolving the case, stressing the importance of concerted efforts to reconcile differences and resolve community disputes.

Qarmoush further underscored the importance of preserving the authentic tribal values for which Yemeni tribes have long been known in resolving disputes, overcoming conflicts, and rejecting divisions. He noted that the initiative reflects the leadership's directives to settle revenge cases, enhance security and social peace, strengthen cohesion among members of society, and focus efforts on confronting challenges.
