Sana'a: Ibb Province Deputy Rakan Al-Naqeeb inspected the work progress on the project to build a retaining wall for the Wadi Al-Hanat watercourse - Souq Al-Sabt in Ibb Rural Directorate. The 198-meter-long project aims to protect agricultural land from erosion caused by floods flowing from Jabal Badan, as well as to protect the bridge linking the main Ibb-Sana'a road.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Governor explained that the implementation of the retaining wall project in the Wadi Al-Hanat watercourse is one of the important projects to protect agricultural land from floods. He praised the initiative of citizen Abdu Qarin in financing the project, which reflects the spirit of solidarity and community responsibility in serving development in the province.
He affirmed the interest of the local authority leadership in projects protecting agricultural lands and properties from floods by enhancing partnership with community initiatives to implement service and development projects that strengthen the resilience of local communities. The Deputy Governor also appreciated the efforts of the Public Works Office in following up and supervising the project implementation.
