Sa'ada: Intisaf Organization for Women and Children's Rights on Monday condemned the US aggression's bombing of a migrant shelter in Sa'ada province. In a strongly worded statement, the organization highlighted the severe implications of such military actions.
According to Yemen News Agency, the organization emphasized that the deliberate targeting of civilian sites by US forces is a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. The principles of humanity, distinction, and proportionality are being disregarded, elevating these acts to crimes against humanity and severe breaches of international legal standards that prohibit the targeting of innocent civilians.
The organization has held the United States accountable for these actions and demanded a comprehensive investigation to ensure criminal accountability for individuals responsible for these crimes. Furthermore, the organization criticized the United Nations and the Security Council for their silence and inaction, which they argue has emboldened the US to continue its aggressive actions against Yemeni civilians.
Intisaf has urged the international community, along with human rights and humanitarian organizations, to take a stand in support of the Yemeni people. They call for global condemnation of the US actions and pressure on international bodies, particularly the UN Security Council, to act in protecting civilians and halting the ongoing conflict.
Additionally, the organization reiterated its demand for the establishment of an impartial international commission to investigate the alleged crimes and massacres committed by US forces against unarmed civilians.
