Investment Authority Hosts Workshop to Unveil New Investment Law and Investor Service Center

Sana'a: The General Investment Authority has organized an extensive introductory workshop to shed light on the new Investment Law No. (3) of 2025 AD / 1446 AH and the functionalities of the "one-stop shop" investor service center. This initiative aims to enhance the investment climate and stimulate sustainable development.

According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop saw participation from 53 leaders of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Agricultural Cooperative Union. At the event's opening, Engineer Mohammed Al-Farzaei, head of the Operations and Investment Services Sector, emphasized the authority's commitment to supporting investors across various sectors, including productive, industrial, and agricultural sectors, as outlined by the Investment Law.

Al-Farzaei highlighted the authority's focus on industrial localization, strengthening supply chains, and facilitating the growth of industries reliant on local production inputs. He underscored efforts to integrate agricultural and industrial production to increase added value, aligning with the Change and Construction Government's targets to boost local production.

In addressing the challenges faced by investors, Al-Farzaei invited collaboration to improve the investment environment. He encouraged visits to the "one-stop shop" investor service center to explore available services and facilities, emphasizing digital transformation through the authority's "Nafidha" platform to streamline access to investment services, incentives, and advantages.

The workshop also featured insights from Mohammed Salah, Vice President of the Union of Yemeni Chambers of Commerce and Industry, who viewed the "one-stop shop" system as a new phase of trust between the state and the private sector. Salah proposed the adoption of a "comprehensive digital window" to enhance transparency and improve Yemen's ease of doing business indicators.

Dr. Nabil Atef, head of the Industry Committee at the General Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, stressed the industrial sector's vital role in revitalizing the national economy. He urged alignment of executive regulations with the needs of factories to ensure production continuity and efficiency.

Abdullah Al-Munakhi, Director of the Investment Sectors Promotion Department, affirmed the commitment to implementing the new law and fostering a secure investment environment. The workshop concluded with recommendations to empower representatives in the "one-stop shop" center and expedite the creation of industrial complexes to attract new projects.

The workshop provided explanatory presentations on the law's advantages and exemptions, along with a technical demonstration by Mohammed Mashrah, Director of the Information Technology Department, on the Nafidha platform's registration process and benefits under the Investment Law.
