Tokyo: Japanese stocks rose in morning trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Friday. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 509.14 points, or 1.01%, to reach 50,916.93 points.
According to Yemen News Agency, the broader Topix index also added 15.91 points, or 0.47%, to reach 3,433.89 points.
