Launch of Fourth Popular Mawlid Festival in Al-Tahrir District, Capital Secretariat

The general mobilization in al-tahrir district: launched on Friday the fourth popular festival celebrating the Prophet's Mawlid, with support from the Charitable Association for Teaching the Holy Quran and its Sciences.

According to Yemen News Agency, the festival will run through Rabi' al-Awwal 10 and features cultural, theatrical, awareness, chanting, and various competitive activities. Participants include residents of the district and other areas, with cash and in-kind prizes being awarded.

At the launch event, Sana'a University Vice President Dr. Hamoud Al-Ahnoumi highlighted that the festival reflects a strong bond with the Prophet Muhammad and serves as an educational platform to promote awareness, culture, and a spirit of struggle.

Capital Secretariat Assistant Undersecretary Ismail Al-Jarmouzi emphasized the importance of organizing such cultural and popular events to express joy at the Prophet's birth and reinforce practical adherence to Allah, His Messenger, and the Holy Quran.

The festival's activities included chants, poetry, cultural activities, and competitions focused on the Prophet's life and character. Participants were awarded cash prizes, food baskets, and gifts, which were also distributed to winners, needy families, and children.
