Taiz: Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Khalid, Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Ezi, Director of the Taiz Governorate Health Office, inaugurated the free surgical medical camp at Hajdah Rural Hospital in Maqbanah District. The hospital's medical staff began receiving patients and conducting examinations and necessary tests as part of the three-day camp, which aims to perform 200 surgeries, including hemorrhoid removal, excision of fatty cysts, tonsillectomies, and hernia operations.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the inauguration, Brig. Gen. Al-Khalid and Dr. Al-Ezi emphasized the importance of the free surgical medical camp in providing healthcare services to citizens and alleviating the treatment costs for poor and needy patients. They noted that the camp is part of the Health Office's plan to activate the role of rural hospitals and enhance their capabilities to improve the quality of medical and therapeutic services, particularly following the support and provision of medical equipment to several healthcare facilities and hospitals.
Al-Khalid and Al-Ezi also praised the hospital staff and doctors for their dedication and interaction with citizens, providing free medical services across various specialties, especially under the difficult circumstances the country is facing due to aggression and blockade.
Dr. Khalid Al-Dali, Director of Hajdah Rural Hospital, stressed the camp's importance in receiving patients who require examinations and tests in the targeted specialties. He explained that the turnout at the camp exceeded expectations from the early hours of the first day, appreciating the engagement of the Ministry of Health and governorate leadership in establishing the camp and providing necessary medical services to citizens in need of examinations and tests in the specified specialties.
